About

Seadrill is a leading offshore drilling contractor employing approximately 9000 highly skilled employees. Their aim is to unlock oil and gas for the benefit of customers in the safest most efficient way.

With a history of working with the large consultancy houses, and just prior to embarking on a radical application overhaul, Seadrill had a requirement to perform analysis and cleansing of their core master data, which spans across all of the core applications of the business.

What we did

Evolvin were engaged to perform a data audit, suggest mechanisms to clean and streamline the data, as well as scripting and implementing the changes, with potential impact throughout the business, supply chain and operations. Our project spanned several months, and systems including Biztalk, SQL Server, Oracle EBS and other proprietary applications. At the end of the project we had reduced overall database size by 25%, removed all duplicates, and allowed a smoother implementation of the upcoming transformation projects.
